The Zellers

Hi friends! We are the Zellers… We are a husband & wife team with a love for all things DIY. We have four amazing boys, and two bernese mountain dogs, living in a small town right outside of Kansas City. This is not our full time job, Amber is an RN at a local area hospital and Todd is a BIM CAD lead at a local Engineering firm. Our love for DIY started when we purchased our last home that we got to DIY, making it our own. Our first build was a child’s toy shelf and headboard. When sharing with friends and family we continued to get "requests" for builds. After a lot of convincing to get my husband on board, he finally agreed to build for other people. After seeing the happiness our builds brought to people we just couldn’t stop! Since then we have added custom signs, and small farmhouse décor. How did you get started in woodworking?

When we found the home of our dreams in 2014, one we would be able to "make" our own building became apart of that project. Starting with the toy shelf and headboard we made for our youngest (at the time) son, and we haven't been able to stop since.

What is the turn around time?

Our typical turn around time is 2 to 4 weeks on custom furniture and 1 to 2 weeks on custom sign orders of actual build time. We do have an order list and go in order of deposits. Please reach out to us with questions where you would be in this list.

What is required to order a build?

Builds go in deposit order and require 50% down to hold your place in line and help with purchasing materials needed for the builds. The remainder is due upon pick up.

Do you offer delivery?

While this is not our common practice, we are able to deliver in the Kansas City area for a delivery fee. Please reach out to us if this is a service you will be needing. We do also ship our custom signs and small decor items.
